A’ Bhasgaid (The basket)

This is a very versatile design that can be used for just about anything – fruit, bread, toys, odd socks or a plant pot, to name a few. The perfect size to get you started, this is also the style of basket I teach to my beginner students, but that doesn’t make it any less useful! This example features a slight flare, with contrasting colours of the varieties Black Maul and Flanders red, and has a check effect using buff (boiled and stripped) willow.

Please note: this basket comes with a two year warranty – any repairs needed after this time can still be undertaken at a very reasonable price. I make baskets designed to last generations and to be worked, not just looked at.
