Am Frangach Fosgailte (ùr-nodha) – (The French Open (contemporary))

This beautiful basket is truly one of a kind, inspired by the rolling hills and crashing waves of my home. This style of basket originates in France, and uses techniques that take a long time to achieve, and due to the contemporary nature of this design, even longer than usual. It features the gorgeous willow variety Brittany Blue, grown on the West Coast of Scotland, which contrasts perfectly with stripped white willow, and genuine veg-tanned, riveted leather handles. 

Because this basket took so long to complete, I will not be making many of them, and this makes it very special to own indeed.
